STEELTON, Pa. - Steelton Borough Police have a BOLO(Be On the Lookout) for 34 year old Takeya Shere Fluellen. The former Steelton woman was supposed to surrender to borough police late Wednesday.
According to police, Fluellen contacted them and said that she was not going to turn herself in as agreed. They have an arrest warrant charging Fluellen with multiple counts of Aggravated Assault and Endangering the Welfare of Children. Her husband, Tyree Fluellen, 29, is currently being held on $10,000 bail at Dauphin County Prison on similar charges.
The charges against the couple stem from the discovery last summer of their11 children living in deplorable conditions at their Steelton home. The house was completely polluted with human feces and urine. The children ages are 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, 9, 13 and 14. All except the one year old are in the custody of Dauphin County Children and Youth. Six of the children suffered with Shigella, a bacteria that causes diarrhea. All of the children were in need of medical treatment.
