LANCASTER, Pa- A Lancaster city man’s fourth conviction for groping strangers will cost him at least 6 years in state prison.

Officials say Maurice Donnell Green was recently sentenced in Lancaster County Court to 6 to 12 years in prison for his latest crime.

Green, 39, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor counts of indecent assault, stalking and theft, in exchange for the negotiated prison sentence. The sentence was near the maximum allowable penalties for the four misdemeanor counts.

Green groped a woman with intellectual disabilities June 5, 2015, at the RRTA station at 225 N. Queen St. He followed the woman for 40 minutes, then snatched her phone as she called a friend for help.

It’s Green’s fourth such conviction since 2007, according to Assistant District Attorney Christopher Sarno.

Green was convicted in 2007 and 2009 for groping incidents in North Carolina, and in 2009 for an incident in New York, according to Sarno.
