HARRISBURG, Pa.--

Thousands of people are expected to visit the farm show. Measures are in place to make sure it is a safe one for everyone.

"Right now there is no threat to this event so we are planning to have thousands of visitors here to have a great time," Director of Pennsylvania's Office of Homeland Security Marcus Brown said.

More security measures will be in place to ensure a safe environment. Security measures include local law enforcement officers, federal officers, national guard troops, and cameras.

"We want to make sure that one the public feels very comfortable coming to this event and two on the public safety side we want to do everything to make sure this event is safe," Brown said.

For safety this year, they are asking for the public's help.

"If you see something that bothers you, you think is a security concern, we want the public to raise that question," Pennsylvania Secretary of Agriculture Russell Redding said.

Posters are displayed throughout the farm show complex saying "see something say something."

"There's going to be a phone number on there," Brown said. "There's also a see something, send something app."

With all these measures in place, Redding said, in the end it's still about having fun.

"We just want folks to enjoy themselves, and know that we as the hosts of this considered their safety as part of the show," he said.
