NOT AS FRIGID: Wednesday isn’t nearly as cold, but temperatures remain below average. Afternoon high temperatures are near the freezing mark. A weak system overnight Wednesday brings spotty flurries to the region, and it’s gone by Thursday morning. Thursday’s skies are mainly sunny after some early morning clouds. Highs are in the lower to middle 30s.
WATCHING WEEKEND: Computer models continue to aggressively indicate a major snow storm Friday afternoon into Saturday. With the current track and positioning of cold air, significant accumulations are within the realm of possibilities, but it is still way too early to make any reliable calls or give amounts. Temperatures both days will be at or below freezing for the span of the storm. We’ll continue to monitor this system very closely over the next couple of days. Sunshine works in Sunday, and the cold lingers. Expect high temperatures in the upper 20s to lower 30s. Monday brings partly cloudy skies, and temperatures begin to moderate.
Have a great Tuesday!
