It's one of, if not, the best girls basketball rivalry in Pennsylvania.   Delone Catholic versus York Catholic.   They compete for every loose ball, compete on every single possession, compete for district and state titles.   From now until the end of their game on January 29th at Delone, they will compete to raise money for The Four Diamonds Fund at Penn State Hershey Children's Hospital.

FOX43 has partnered with PLEDGE IT, a performance based online fundraising company, to make the Irish and Squirettes final regular season matchup a competition on and off the court.
"Just the idea of these two high schools, Delone Catholic and York Catholic, wanting to take their spotlight and probably the biggest game of the regular season and use that platform that they have to shine the spotlight on the Four Diamonds Fund and to help raise money for Four Diamonds is just phenomenal," commented PLEDGE IT General Manager Ryan Gmerek.
PLEDGE IT has handled campaigns for professional athletes like Larry Fitzgerald, Phillip Rivers and Devon Still.   They will keep score to see which basketball community can raise the most money per point in next Friday's game in McSherrystown.  The page is already set up and can be accessed at www.pledgeit.org/fox43.   There you will see instructions how to donate and the current total for each team.   Let the competition begin!
