YORK, Pa. – A York City man is dead following an early afternoon shooting; It happened shortly after 2 pm at the intersection of Park Street and Park Place.
The victim, Dontay Lamar Lowrie, 21, was shot several times. He was taken to York Hospital in a private vehicle and pronounced dead by a deputy coroner a short time later.
An autopsy is scheduled for Friday morning at 8 am at Lehigh Valley Hospital to determine the exact cause of death.
