YORK, Pa--

York Catholic High School was a battleground Saturday. It played host to the event of "Battle of the Buildings." The event brings the six schools of the York Deanery together. The Deanery is made up of St. John the Baptist, St. Joseph Dallastown, St. Joseph York, St. Patrick, St. Rose of Lima, and York Catholic High School.

The event is a way to kickoff Catholic Schools Week, which is a national week to celebrate Catholic education.

The competition consisted of faculty from each school and senior from York Catholic competing in games. The games were based on the TV show "Minute to Win It."

York Catholic Principal Katie Seufert said the event does  a great job of promoting Catholic education.

"We're celebrating our families, our teachers, our students, and the sacrifices they all make to send their children to a Catholic School to learn mutual values and respect as well as get a strong academic education," she said.

It was the second year for the event.
