CUMBERLAND COUNTH, Pa. – Three out of state men face theft charges involving “cloned” credit cards.  Last Thursday at about 7 pm Wal-Mart Asset Protection notified Lower Allen Police about several men making suspicious purchases at the store’s self checkout kiosk.

They were observed purchasing gift cards using numerous credit cards. If one card was declined, they would pull out another and continue the process. WAP personnel gave police a description of the suspects who had already left the store and their vehicle.

The vehicle was located later in the parking lot of the Capital City Mall. Police found the suspects inside the mall and stopped them as they walked out of Macy’s. Under questioning the suspects admitted to using “cloned” credit cards to make purchases.  Numerous “cloned” credit cards were recovered during the investigation. The suspects had purchased over $1,000.00 in gift cards and merchandise with the cloned cards.

The three suspects were identified as Demonte Hayes, 18, Demetri Hayes, 22  and Kory Jones, 22, all from Detroit, Michigan. They face charges of Access Device Fraud, Retail Theft, Unlawful Use of a Computer, Receiving Stolen Property, and Theft by
Deception.
