LOWER PAXTON TOWNSHIP, Pa.–A man and woman wanted for armed robbery in Lower Paxton Township were arrested Thursday in York by U.S. Marshals.

Gregory C. Lownes, 26, and Stefanie Kabonic, 24, were both wanted by Lower Paxton Township Police for an incident that took place on Feb. 2 along the 1000 block of Acri Road.

Authorities said Lownes and Kabonic lured a man to their home early Tuesday with the intent of robbing him. The man was shot during the altercation, but refused to cooperate with the investigation, police said.

Police obtained an arrest warrant for the pair–but they did not return home.

U.S. Marshals caught up with Lownes and Kabonic at Motel 6 along Arsenal Boulevard in York on Thursday morning. During their arrest, Lownes attempted to hide from authorities under a bed, police said.

Lownes is charged with criminal attempted homicide, robbery, aggravated assault, two counts of conspiracy and firearms violations. He was taken to Dauphin County Prison without bail.  Kabonic is charged with robbery and two counts of conspiracy. Her bail is set at $120,000.

A preliminary hearing for both Lownes and Kabonic is scheduled for March 22.

The USMS worked jointly in this investigation with personnel from the Lower Paxton Township Police Department, the Northern York County Regional Police Department, the York City Police Department, the Pennsylvania State Police, the York County Sheriff’s Office, the Harrisburg Bureau of Police, the Pennsylvania Board of Probation and Parole, and the Dauphin County Probation and Parole
