TURNING UNSETTLED: An approaching cold front brings shower chances late Thursday, but the day remains unseasonably mild. Expect plenty of clouds through the morning and a mild start to the day. As the cold front dives south, a few isolated showers are possible north and west of Harrisburg late in the day. Afternoon high temperatures are in the upper 60s to middle 70s. We likely break a record high temperature for today’s date. Shower chances increase through the evening. The heaviest occurs overnight, wrapping up a couple hours before daybreak. Overnight lows are very mild, in the upper 40s to middle 50s.
THIS WEEKEND: After some early morning clouds on Friday, the rest of the day is drier with plenty of afternoon sunshine. Temperatures aren’t nearly as mild as Thursday, with afternoon readings in the 60s. Saturday should remain dry with increasing clouds during the afternoon. Highs are in the middle to upper 60s. The rest of the weekend brings more rain chances, so expect a few showers on Sunday. Highs are still mild and well above average, hovering near the 60 degree mark.
NEXT WEEK: Monday showers could linger, with temperatures remaining above average. Showers continue into early Tuesday, and skies should dry out by the afternoon. Highs should still be well above average, with readings in the lower 60s. Wednesday the sunshine returns, and temperatures remain well above seasonable averages!
