PERRY COUNTY, Pa. – Pennsylvania State Police say a 12 year old female pedestrian with special needs who was struck and killed Thursday night in the southbound lane of the Susquehanna Trail( Route 11/15) was repeatedly run over by multiple vehicles.

The incident happened just before 9 pm in front of the Red Carpet Inn, on the 3200 block of the Susquehanna Trail, just south of New Buffalo Borough.  State police say none of the vehicles stopped at the scene to assist her.  A white tractor with a white trailer is believed to have been one of those vehicles.

Police say numerous vehicles traveled in both directions in the area just before and just after she was hit.

Anyone who had traveled through the area between 8:50 pm and 9:05 pm and believes they may seen something related to the incident is asked to contact PSP-Newport at (717) 567-3110.
