TEMPERATURES JUMP TO THE 60’S
Clouds clear out partially overnight, allowing for fog to form in some areas. Lows will drop to the low to mid 40s. High clouds will stream in quickly by morning ahead of a warm front, which lifts north by afternoon. It will be quickly followed by a cold front that will move off the coast by evening. During the early and late afternoon hours, a few showers, and a rumble of thunder is likely. Temperatures warm ahead of the front into the low to mid 60s.

High pressure builds in clearing skies once again briefly before another disturbance brings them back during the day Thursday. A stray shower or two cannot be ruled out as some upper level energy swings through. Most of the day looks dry and mild for St. Patrick Day celebrations. High temperatures climb to the upper 50s; few spots may touch 60, which is above our average.

A cooler air mass settles in Friday, and continues into the weekend. A cold front drops south, and combined with a deepening trough, will lead to a colder day under partly to mostly cloudy skies. A stray shower or two is possible, however, most areas stay dry. Highs will only warm to the upper 40s to near 50 degrees.

WEEKEND OUTLOOK
High pressure builds in late Friday clearing the skies and providing conditions ideal for a colder start, in the upper 20s to low 30s, Saturday morning. Despite a day of sunshine, it will be noticeably cooler in the upper 40s. The next system rides up the coast Sunday into Monday. The official arrival of spring arrives with showers, which will spread in by afternoon and evening, and with clouds already in place, it will be chilly in the lower 40s. The track is still a big question as models are split on how close to the coast it will hover. Any moisture leftover in the overnight hours may mix with wet snow. Drier and cooler air in the 40s returns for early next week.
