Chicken of the Sea tuna recall due to possible life-threatening contamination

 

Tri-Union Seafoods LLC is voluntarily recalling a 107,280 cans of Chicken of the Sea brand tuna.  The meat may have been undercooked due to an equipment malfunction, which was uncovered during a routine inspection.

This could cause contamination by spoilage organisms or pathogens, which could lead to life-threatening illness if consumed.

The voluntary recall applies to 5oz canned chuck light tuna in oil and in water that were sold between February 10th and March 16th of this year.

There have been no reported illnesses associated with this product.

If you have a recalled can you can return if to the store for a full refund.
