JACKSON TOWNSHIP, Pa.–Police are investigating a two-vehicle crash involving a school bus in York County.

It happened near the intersection of Lincoln Highway and Bowman Road in Jackson Township around 8 a.m.

Authorities say one child was on the school bus and wasn’t hurt. The elementary school student was checked out by EMS and by a school nurse, according to Lisa Smith, spokeswoman for the Spring Grove Area School District.

The district notified the parents of the student immediately.

The school bus driver was taken to the hospital for evaluation, as in the normal protocol with our transportation contractor, Red Lion Bus Company, Smith said.

Police cited the driver of the car for a red light violation.
