YORK COUNTY, Pa. – A Chambersburg man is acquitted in the 2014 murder of a West York man. A York County jury deliberated about 3 and a half hours before returning with a “not guilty” verdict before noon today in the trial of Carlos Johnson, 36, of Chambersburg.  Johnson had been charged with 2nd and 3rd degree murder, and related charges in the shooting death of Lancelot Hylton in West York Borough on August 26, 2014.

The verdict ends a three day trial.

Hylton, 41 and the father of three children, was shot in the head allegedly over an unpaid drug debt. Johnson was one of three men, Ramon “Booper” Rosario, Jr., 31 of York and David Jackson, 28, of Harrisburg,
