WAYNESBORO, Pa.–A Waynesboro man already jailed on child porn charges is now accused of sexually abusing a 4-year-old girl and recording the abuse, according to the United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.

Evan M. Lawbaugh, 32, is charged with sexual assault, distributing images depicting the sexual abuse of a child and possession of images depicting the sexual abuse of minors.

Lawbaugh was charged on March 2 in a similar case in which federal prosecutors allege he sexually abused an infant boy and recorded the encounter.

Authorities say Lawbaugh possessed thousands of images and hundreds of videos of child pornography.

This case was investigated by the United States Postal Inspection Service, the Pennsylvania State Police and the Pennsylvania Office of the Attorney General. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Daryl Bloom.

If convicted, Lawbaugh faces up to 50 years in prison.
