YORK, Pa.-- In celebration of St. Patrick's Day, McDonald’s restaurants across central Pennsylvania will hold a donation event that impacts non-profits throughout the region.

25 cents from every Shamrock Shake that is sold throughout the day will be donated to a grant program for the Ronald McDonald House Charities in Central Pennsylvania. The grant program provides funding to Ronald McDonald Charities in Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Juniata, Lancaster, Lebanon, Mifflin, Perry, Schuylkill and York counties.

Chris Lesher, a local McDonald's owner, stops by the morning show to tell us more about the event. For more information, you can visit the grant program's website.
