SPRING FEEL RETURNS

Spring officially arrived this past Sunday but started with a chill and below season averages.  However, the next few days, it will feel like spring should feel.  In fact, well above average temperatures expected, as they soar into the lower to middle 60s.  We may even flirt with 70 degrees on Thursday.  Tonight, clouds hang on for much of the overnight, keeping lows milder than the past few mornings.  Lows will drop to the lower 40s.

ME Out The Door – AM

Clouds will break to allow for more sunshine during the afternoon. Highs warm to the lower to middle 60s.  Our next cold front approaches late week.  A surge of warmer air ahead of it allows temperatures to climb to the upper 60s to low 70s.  A late day shower or thunderstorm can’t be ruled out, however, most of day is dry.  The shower threat increases overnight as the front nears.  It remains mild overnight in the upper 40s.  The wet weather should exit by the Friday morning drive time.  Most of Friday is dry with highs in the 50s.

EASTER WEEKEND

The holiday looks mainly dry both Saturday and most of Sunday.  Sunshine will brighter to begin the weekend, but clouds will drift our way for the second half of the weekend as our next system marches closer.  Highs climb to the middle and upper 50s.  A few 60’s are possible for Sunday.

FLOOD SAFETY AWARENESS WEEK

Flood Safety Awareness Week continues with topic #2 today.  Do you know what T.A.D.D. stands for?  It is a good reminder to keep us safe, “Turn Around! Don’t Drown!”  There are more deaths from flooding than any other severe weather related hazard. Many of these deaths are preventable.  More than half of all flood related deaths are from cars being swept downstream.  Water covered roadways appear much deeper than they look, and to often, people underestimate the depth and attempt to drive through resulting in death.   Stayed tuned for more important flood information through the rest of the week!
