DERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa.--There is a new addition to the Hershey Gardens -- the Milton and Catherine Hershey Conservatory. The building is currently under construction but FOX43 got a sneak peek of it.
It is scheduled to open sometime this summer. The 16,000 square-foot facility features an educational and horticultural wing and a year-round butterfly atrium.
Don Papson, the Executive Director of the M.S. Hershey Foundation says, "We're very excited about being able to add this year-round facility, especially for the children and families that want to learn more about plants, horticulture and now butterflies. We'll have one of only 25 year-round butterfly atriums in the United States.
The conservatory also boasts beautiful views of Hersheypark from it's overlook terrace.
