York, Pa. - The York Rescue Mission announcing its partnership with the Katallasso Family Health Center today to offer more health services for patient needs. Katallasso providers will offer family practice services from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Tuesdays and may expand their hours. The York County Community Foundation helped fund the renovations with grant money. The CEO of the York Rescue Mission says this partnership will be helpful to many people in the community.

"This allows us the ability to provide loving, caring service to those that we already serve without having to make them wait," said Matthew Carey, CEO of York Rescue Mission. "We already do the food, we already do the clothing, we already do the shelter. This is an added proposal. This adds the healthcare piece. So now we're trying to do the complete transformation for the individual. Having it in here allows us to do that here on site, for ladies and gentlemen."

The health center will start by serving men, women and children who are a part of the York Rescue Mission. There will be no charge.
