TURNING MILDER DESPITE CLOUDS & SHOWER THREAT

High pressure to our east is providing southerly winds, which will keep milder temps around overnight.  Clouds build in from the west towards morning.  With a southerly breeze and more clouds, lows will only drop to the middle 40s.  Clouds thicken but rain chance is scarce until evening when only a few stray showers are possible.  Highs will warm to near 70. The breeze picks up 10 to 20 mph out of the south. Gusts to 30 mph  are likely.

DMA Futurecast Wind Arrows PM

Scattered showers are possible overnight into Friday late morning.  Temperatures stay in the upper 50s to lower 60s overnight.  The cold front doesn’t cross through the state until late afternoon.  High temperatures for the first day of April will exceed 70 degrees. Most areas should get into the lower 70s.  Winds remain breezy.

WEEKEND CHANGES

Expect lots of cloud cover for Saturday, as our next system quickly races in from the northwest.  The low will remain to our north and drag a cold front through overnight.  Unseasonably cold air spills in behind the front. Highs Sunday will only warm to the middle 40s despite plenty of sunshine.  Another reinforcing shot of cold air arrives Monday night as the next system swings through. It is quite possible to see a few wet flakes mix in with both systems.  Monday, we begin the day with some sun before the clouds increase. It will still be well below average with morning lows in the middle 20s and highs only climbing to the upper 40s.  There is a chance for late showers, which may mix with wet snow overnight into early Tuesday morning.  We remain chilly through mid-week before temperatures warm back up to seasonal averages in the upper 50s.
