DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. – Ralph Chase, 58, of Harrisburg is charged with six counts of retail theft of food from various supermarkets in Lower Paxton Township.

Township police say the alleged thefts began on November 6, 2015 and continued through February of this year. The thefts occurred at Giant, Karn’s, and Weis Markets. In each incident Chase loaded up grocery carts with seafood and Tide pods and exited through the front door without paying. The total amount of items stolen was $3,590.00.

Following his arrest and arraignment on Thursday, Chase was released after posting $22,500 bail.
