HARRISBURG, Pa-- On Saturday, Dauphin County District Attorney, Ed Marsico, announced an arrest in Harrisburg's fifth homicide of the year.

Glenn Walker III, 19, of Harrisburg, was arrested for allegedly killing 36-year old John Thomas Carter. Carter was shot and killed on the 2000-block Woodbine Street last Saturday afternoon around 4:30. Carter is the nephew of Harrisburg Police Chief Thomas Carter.

"Our condolences of course are with Chief Carter and the entire family as they are any time there is a homicide," said Marsico.

"One thing, I want to let the family know of other homicides, they have not been forgotten. We have received information regarding those as well and we will do our due diligence with those cases as well," said Captain Gabriel Olivera.

Glenn Walker was out of prison on bail when he allegedly killed Carter.  Walker is charged with Criminal Homicide and carrying a weapon without a license. He is being held at Dauphin County Prison without bail.

According to online court documents, his preliminary  hearing is scheduled for April 12th.
