FIND THE JACKETS AND GLOVES

It will feel much chillier the next several days as temperatures take a dive well below average heading into the weekend.  This evening isolated rain showers will end and skies will partially clear as drier air spills in. Lows will drop to the lower to middle 30s.  A few flakes are possible too.  Friday, a mix of clouds and sunshine is expected. Highs will only climb to the upper 40s to near 50 degrees.

Chillier with gusty winds for Friday

Winds will become quite gusty during the afternoon hours.  A potent disturbance dives in Saturday bringing a threat for snow showers.  A light coating on grassy areas is possible but nothing more.

Strong winds will allow colder air to pour in across the region keeping temperatures from warming much above 40 degrees.  During the afternoon, a few rain or snow showers are possible again.  Skies clear overnight leading to record-breaking cold by Sunday morning. Lows will plummet to the upper teens to lower 20s.  The record is 26 set in multiple years.  Temperatures are chilly in the lower to middle 40s despite mostly sunny skies.  Clouds quickly return in the evening ahead of the next system.

REBOUNDING TEMPERATURES WITH SHOWERS

The week begins with the threat for a few showers as a warm front pushes through the area. Highs will be closer to seasonable averages in the upper 50s.  Chance for rain increases as the next system arrives overnight into Tuesday.  Temperatures will be cooler in the middle 50s.  We get to enjoy a dry couple of days, however, highs will run a bit cooler than seasonable averages.
