Millersburg, Pa. - The memory of a local hero killed in action during World War II will live on in Upper Dauphin County. Private Warren Snyder's name is now part of the bridge on State Route 147 in Millersburg.

State representative Sue Helm held a special dedication ceremony with the soldier's family to unveil the sign. Snyder died during the United States German Battle of Hurtgen Forest in December 1944.  His daughter is making sure he's not forgotten.

"Millersburg was a very and is a tight-knit town and we all mourned all of our veterans that were killed in action," said Lois Miller, daughter of Pvt. Warren Snyder. "So we're very honored that my father's name will be there."

Private Warren Snyder was 38-years-old when he died.
