COLUMBIA BOROUGH, Pa.--Police are investigating a shooting that happened just before 12:30 a.m. Sunday inside an apartment along the first block of North 9th Street  in Columbia Borough.

Police released surveillance video on Thursday that shows a person of interest running from the apartment towards a vehicle that is parked about half-block away from the apartment building.

A 21-year-old Lancaster man who was inside the apartment was shot numerous times in the abdomen. He was taken to Lancaster General Hospital for treatment.  At the time of the shooting, the victim was visiting with a friend on the first floor of the building, according to police reports.

Authorities were able to obtain surveillance footage that was recorded along the first block of N. 9th Street at the time of the shooting. The video shows a dark colored sedan, unknown make or model, backing up and parking about a half-block away from the apartment. About four minutes later, an unidentified person is shown on camera running away from the shooting scene and gets into the rear passenger side door of the vehicle.
