Man charged after discovery of 15,000 images of child porn on his computer

YORK COUNTY, Pa. – The unexpected discovery of child pornography on his personal computer has lead to criminal charges against a 53 year old York County man.

Robert “Craig” Richardson  formerly of the first block of S Main Street, Shrewsbury has been charged with four counts of Possession of Child Pornography, and two counts of Criminal Use of Communication Facility, stemming from an investigation that found over 15,000 images depicting child pornography on computer hard drives and other computer related equipment.

Family members were servicing Richardson’s computer and discovered what they believed to be child pornography related material and reported it to the police.

Richardson turned himself in, was arraigned and released posting $20,000 unsecured bail.
