EPHRATA, Pa. – A Lancaster man arrested on a public drunkenness charge over the weekend is found to be a fugitive from New York.
Police arrested Israel E. Rivera, 33, at about 7:42 p.m. on Saturday, April 16, following a disturbance in the 400 block of East Main Street in Ephrata Borough.
A check of outstanding warrants revealed that Rivera had a 2014 warrant out of New York state for violating parole.
Rivera was taken to Lancaster County Prison to await an extradition hearing for his return to New York.
