DERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa. - At 18-months old Maya Richardson was diagnosed with a genetic disorder.
"Maya was diagnosed almost five years ago with Neurofibromatosis (Type) 1. She has decreased vision in her left eye and tumors on her optic nerves," said her father, John.
Due to her condition, Maya was granted a Make-A-Wish. She chose to go to Disney World.
"To see all the princesses," she said.
Her wish was revealed at Hershey's Chocolate World on Saturday. When Maya goes to treatment in Philadelphia, she takes the nurses, doctors, and other patients Hershey's Kisses © so, when Hershey's found out, the cpmpany decided to be part of her reveal.
A special 4D movie presentation was made just for her and she was able to pick out all the desserts she wanted.
"We just want to thank everyone at Hershey; the employees and Make-A- Wish and just all the people that donate their time and resources to foundations like these that really make dreams come true for kids like Maya," said John.
On top of the trip and all the chocolate, Maya also got plenty of presents.
