HARRISBURG, Pa.-- The second annual Harrisburg Beer Week returned April 22 and runs through Saturday, April 30.

This event helps celebrate local craft beers as well as serving as a fundraiser for Harrisburg River Rescue and Emergency Services.

Last year, over 140 events ranging from beer fests to educational sessions helped raise $20,000. This year, there are over 180 events, week long specials, and a number of new breweries and venues. It is being headlined by the event "Maybe 5K" and the week is being sponsored by Appalachian Brewing Company. Other events include the "Battle of Homebrew Clubs" being held at First National Bank Field and "Little Big Beer Fest" at the Abbey Bar at Appalachian Brewing Company.

For more information on Harrisburg Beer Week and its events, you can check out their website here.

Today, FOX43's Kara Duffy is at Al's of Hampden previewing the event.
