Police responded at 6:31 a.m. Saturday to the area of the 900 block of Buchanan Avenue for a report of a burglary in progress.  The arriving officers were provided with a description of a suspect.

A man matching that description was located a short time later at the intersection of West Walnut Street and North West End Avenue. The man was identified as 36 year old Samuel Sanchez, who lived on the 300 block West King Street.

While questioning Sanchez, police received another call at 6:44 a.m. about an attempted burglary on the 900 block of Virginia Avenue.  A followup investigation linked Sanchez to the Virginia Avenue burglary.
