CHICAGO – The Philadelphia Eagles traded up to get the number two pick in the NFL Draft and selected North Dakota State Quarterback Carson Wentz. The 6 foot 5 inch, 237 pound Wentz led the Bison to back to back NCAA Division I FCS championships in his first two seasons as a starter.
University of California quarterback Jared Goff was the draft’s number one pick by the Los Angeles Rams.
The Baltimore Ravens with the 6th pick selected Notre Dame tackle Ronnie Stanley. The Steelers helped their secondary by taking Artie Burns with the 25th overall choice.
