HARRISBURG, Pa. – Trev Jackson, 24, wanted in the shooting of a Northern York County Regional Police Officer, was arrested in Philadelphia this morning by United States Marshals.

On November 2, 2015, a Northern York County Regional Police Officer initiated a traffic stop after observing a vehicle swerving in and out of traffic.  The driver, later identified as Jackson, fired multiple rounds at the police officer.  The officer was not struck and returned fire at his attacker.  Jackson fled in the vehicle from the scene.

An arrest warrant was issued on November 23, 2015 charging Jackson with Criminal Attempt – Criminal Homicide, Assault of Law Enforcement Officer and Recklessly Endangering Another Person.

Another arrest warrant was issued by the Pennsylvania Board of Probation and Parole for violations of his probation.

During the course of the investigation, Marshals developed information that Jackson had fled the area and was hiding out in Philadelphia.

The U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force in Harrisburg assisted the Northern York County Regional Policed Department in the investigation to locate and arrest Jackson.

During the course of the investigation, Marshals developed information that Jackson had fled the area and was hiding out in the city of Philadelphia.   Deputy U.S. Marshals, Task Force Officers and Philadelphia Police Department Swat, arrested Jackson without incident in the 2600 block of North Stanley Street in Philadelphia.  Jackson was brought back to York County pending further judicial proceedings.

Northern York County Regional Police Chief Mark L. Bentzel stated “The Northern York County Regional Police are thankful for the coordinated efforts of many agencies led by the USMS. This apprehension was the result of hundreds of man hours from dedicated law enforcement officers”.
