MANCHESTER TWP., Pa. – After being on the run for five months, a man wanted for shooting at a Northern York County Regional Police officer last year, was arrested in Philadelphia Friday morning.

On November 2, 2015, a Northern York County Regional Police Officer initiated a traffic stop in the Crossroads Shopping Center in Manchester Township, after observing a vehicle swerving in and out of traffic.  The driver, later identified as Trev Jackson, 24,   fired multiple rounds at the officer.

The officer was not struck and returned fire at his attacker.  Jackson fled the scene in the vehicle.

An arrest warrant was issued on November 23, 2015 charging Jackson with Criminal Attempt – Criminal Homicide, Assault of Law Enforcement Officer and Recklessly Endangering Another Person.

Another arrest warrant was issued by the Pennsylvania Board of Probation and Parole for violations of his probation.

The U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force in Harrisburg assisted the Northern York County Regional Police Department in the investigation to locate and arrest Jackson.

During the course of the investigation, Marshals developed information that Jackson was hiding out Philadelphia.   Deputy U.S. Marshals, Task Force Officers and Philadelphia Police Department SWAT, arrested Jackson without incident in the 2600-block of North Stanley Street in Philadelphia.

Jackson was brought back to York County pending further judicial proceedings.

Northern York County Regional Police Chief Mark L. Bentzel stated:

“The Northern York County Regional Police are thankful for the coordinated efforts of many agencies led by the USMS. This apprehension was the result of hundreds of man hours from dedicated law enforcement officers”.

Jackson is currently in York County Prison.

Bail has been denied because he is considered a flight risk and danger to society.
