YORK, Pa. - Students from Red Lion School District and members of local civic organization helped plant flowers and clean up community gardens in downtown York.
It's part of a beautification project along King, Queen, Duke and Princess streets to make the city more clean and green.
"Any type of beautification in the community is always a good thing," York Habitat for Humanity Executive Director, Debbie Krout-Althoff said, "especially when we're committed to revitalizing downtown York and making people aware of what a great place it is to live, work, play and visit."
With Saturday's work, the students finished their community service requirements for the school year.
