YORK, Pa. -  Students, alongside community leaders, took park in the 10th annual Education First Parade and Rally.  The event kicked off with a parade of students , leaders, marching bands, and first responders who marched down North George Street and West College Avenue-- wrapping up at Penn Park. The entire event is a celebration of educating youth while enjoying and showing support for their accomplishments.

"It's a blast, it's an absolute blast," Democratic State Representative Kevin Schreiber said.  "You come out, hang out with your neighbors, hang out with friends, family and the community to see all of the great things that our young people can do and celebrate them, and that's what today is about-- celebrating education; celebrating our youth and having a blast in Penn Park and that's what's fun about it."

The celebration included food and entertainment at Penn Park.

This year's theme for the parade and rally was "Education First: Believe, Achieve. and Succeed."
