Apple Blossom Festival celebrated in Adams County ahead of growing season

MENALLEN TOWNSHIP, Pa. - Apple farmers promoted their industry through the annual Apple Blossom Festival in Adams County. The event features live entertainment, children's activities, orchard tours, and everything apple at the South Mountain Fairgrounds near Biglerville.

The festival is organized by the Adams County Fruit Growers Association.

"We're a support organization for a local  farmers," association member Adam Baugher said, "we help with different events and also we help with the different research groups that are around  and we provide money to them to be able to operate."

The Apple Blossom festival has been celebrated every spring for 61 years in the county.

The Apple Harvest Festival takes place this fall at the fairgrounds.
