YORK, Pa. – The York City Police Department as part of its current body camera pilot project, wants citizens to be aware that officers wearing body cameras will now be capturing audio, as well as video data where allowed by current law. This activation will go into place on Monday May 9.
Officers involved in the project also requested that the audio be activated.
14 city police are involved in the pilot program which began in early March and is undergoing three months of test use.
