LANCASTER, Pa.– A convicted felon that was caught with a variety of illegal drugs and a shotgun last year will serve up to 6 years in prison.

Christopher Danner, 44, of Peach Bottom, will serve 3 to 6 years in state prison, after being sentenced in Lancaster County Court.

Danner pleaded guilty to felony counts of possession with intent to deliver and persons not to possess firearms, after a July 23, 2014 search of his Nottingham Rd. home uncovered his illegal possessions. He had been convicted of a felony burglary in 1991, which prohibits him from having a firearm.

The items Lancaster County Drug Task Force detectives found at the home include 410 bags of heroin, 68 tablets of oxycodone, a small amount of methamphetamine, and drug-packaging materials. Investigators also found a loaded, 12-gauge shotgun and $933 in cash.

Danner claimed that he dealt drugs to help those in pain, but those claims were refuted by Assistant District Attorney Deborah Greathouse. She said that Danner is not a pharmacist and was dealing heroin among other drugs.
