10 people face riot charges in Harrisburg street brawl caught on camera

HARRISBURG, Pa. – Harrisburg police charge 10 people in the aftermath of a brutal street fight last month that was captured on video.

It happened on April 27, at about 4:13 p.m in the area of 14th & Swatara Streets. When officers arrived on the scene the fight had broken up. Individuals told officers that a fight out at John Harris High School.  It was that fight that lead to the fight at 14th & Swatara Streets.

The continued investigation determined that family members of one of the girls involved in the after school fight went to 14th & Swatara Streets to talk with the other student’s parents. When both families came into contact a verbal argument broke out which quickly evolved into a riot situation.

Police also seized a .22 caliber Sig Sauer and a pistol permit in the case.

The following individuals were also arrested:

Aziah Cruz, 18, was charged Aggravated Assault, Riot, and Prohibited Offensive Weapons (Brass Knuckles).  Cruz is accused of assaulting three individuals with the brass knuckles.

Angelia Jones, 50, is charged with Aggravated Assault and Riot.  Jones is identified as assault a juveniles with a rock.

James Mosely, 21, is charged with Simple Assault and Riot.  Mosely is observed in the video assaulting three individuals and kicking one of them.  He is later observed with a bat that struck a vehicle.

Nathaniel Quinones, 19, is charged with  Simple Assault, Riot and Resisting Arrest.  Quinone is observed in the video as one of the individuals that kicks and punches a female while she is on the ground.  Quinones then resisted arrest when officers went to arrest him.

James Wright, 23, is charged with Aggravated Assault and Riot.  Wright is observed wearing a black shirt striking a victim on the head with a brick.

Herminia Puglia, 31, is charged with Aggravated Assault and Riot.   Puglia is observed as one of the females involved in the second fight captured on video. During this fight Puglia is observed removing her handgun and passing it to her mother Angela Jones and then fighting a juvenile.  This fight ends then another fight begins between the juvenile and both Jones and Puglia. During this fight Puglia is recorded striking Lawrence in the head several times with her handgun.

Warrants have been issued for the following individuals:

A 17 year old juvenile male on Simple Assault and Riot charges This individual is observed in three different fights and was ultimately pistol whipped and assaulted with a brick breaking his jaw.

A 17 year old juvenile male for Simple Assault, Riot and Disorderly Conduct. He was observed attacking two individuals.  This individual was also charged with disorderly conduct when they failed to disperse and became verbally combative with the officers.

Alex Vargas 22, for Simple Assault and Riot.  Vargas is observed on the video striking several individuals.

Arquexe McCraw for Simple Assault and Riot.  McCraw is observed on the video striking several individuals.
