LANCASTER, Pa. - There's now a place for local bike riders to stop and fix up their bicycles. The American Heart Association and Lancaster General Health unveiled a bike repair station at Binn's Park on North Queen Street.

It's all in celebration of National Bike Month. Friday also marks National Bike to Work Day.

The station includes equipment to inflate bicycle tires for free. Those behind the project say it's a great way to get enthusiasts out on their bikes to enjoy the what the city has to offer.

"Some people ride everyday, some people may only ride when it's nice," Lancaster Bikes Chair, Chris Caldwell said, "some have been coerced into riding today, it's National Bike to Work Day, we want people to ride to work  most days , but even if they could get out there today, it's a good start to break down some of those barriers of riding."

A second station will be placed near Central Market.
