Bank robbery in Millersville

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. – Millersville Borough Police are on the lookout for a bank robbery suspect.  The robbery happened at the Santander Bank, 519 Leaman Avenue at approximately 9:20 a.m. Tuesday.

A male dressed in all black clothing with a hooded sweatshirt and sweatpants with a black mask covering his face approached the bank on foot.

The bandit then ran out of the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash. Witnesses saw the suspect running through the Millersville Center shopping complex towards Manor Avenue and then down Heisey Alley before he was out of sight.

The shopping center was busy with customers patronizing the various businesses at the time.

The robber was described by witnesses as a black male, 20-26 years of age, 5’7” to 5’9” tall, thin build, dark complexion, with brown eyes.

Police ask that anyone who may have seen something suspicious to call the Millersville Borough Police Department at (717) 872-4657.
