EAST MANCHESTER TOWNSHIP, YORK COUNTY – The U.S. Open Trophy Tour powered by Lexus made a rare appearance in York County and was on display for FOX43’S Morning News. The United States Golf Association arranged for the trophy to be at Royal Manchester Golf Links in Mount Wolf for FOX43 Morning News and to give local golf fans a chance to examine the hardware up close.

The U.S. Open dates back to 1895 and the trophy is engraved with the name of every champion in the event's history. The current trophy is a 100% replica of the original trophy that was destroyed in a fire in 1946. This year's U.S. Open will be played at Oakmont Country Club in Pittsburgh June 16-19. FOX43 will televise action from all four rounds of competition beginning Thursday, June 16th.
