STEELTON, Pa. – Hours after their wedding, the husband is charged with assaulting his wife. Steelton Borough Police responded at about 1 a.m. Sunday, May 22, to a domestic violence call in the first block of South Harrisburg Street.
The victim told officers that she had just exchanged their wedding vows on Saturday, May 21. When she returned home with her new husband the couple began to argue when he admitted to previous drug use that she did not know about. The argument then turned physical and Robert Sidney Lee began to strangle and punch his bride.
Lee was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault.
