DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. – Frank Saulsbury, 21 of Harrisburg, was sentenced in Dauphin County Court to 5 to 10 years in state prison for illegally possessing a firearm while on parole.

On January 5, Parole Officer Rick Anglemeyer was conducting routine parole checks when he encountered Saulsbury near Cameron and Calder Streets. Saulsbury attempted to run from Englemeyer and then discarded a loaded 9mm semi-automatic handgun from his waistband during the chase.  He was taken into custody to the rear of M.W. Smith Homes.

A search revealed that Saulsbury also possessed marijuana packaged for distribution. The 9MM Beretta was stolen from Annville Lebanon County in 2011, and there were 13 rounds in the magazine.

This is Saulsbury’s second conviction for illegally possessing a firearm.
