3-Day Forecast

HEAT WAVE: It’s official! On Saturday, we had our third straight day with highs in the 90s at Harrisburg International Airport, which means we got the first heat-wave of the summer. Well, make that the first heat wave of 2016. We have to wait until June 20 for summer to start this year.

80S RETURN: The humid weather continues through Memorial Day Monday.  On Sunday, look for highs in the mid 80s. We start the day with lots of sun. In the afternoon, the clouds increase. In the evening, we’ll turn cloudy. We stay out of the 90s because of those afternoon clouds. The same goes for Monday. We start the day cloudy. In the afternoon, sun will break through the clouds. In the evening, we’ll even turn mostly sunny.

WHAT TO EXPECT

TRACKING SHOWERS: We’ll have a few more spotty showers and thunderstorms for you Sunday afternoon and evening. If you have outdoor plans, don’t worry. If you happen to get one of these hit or miss showers or thunderstorms, you’ll have rain for about 30 minutes. Then, drier weather returns. However, we do turn rainy Sunday night, particularly south and east of Harrisburg. We’re talking Adams, York, Lancaster, Dauphin, and Lebanon Counties. After some morning showers on Monday, we’ll dry out for a few hours later in the morning.  Then, early in the afternoon, some hit or miss, spotty thunderstorms sweep over us.  Later in the evening, we’ll have dry weather.  Don’t cancel any outdoor plans on Monday afternoon.  Just be ready for a thunderstorm to pop up for 30 minutes, then you’ll have dry weather.

Future Weather

LESS HUMID: The rain on Monday ends with the crossing a cold front. The cold front will take away the humid weather. It will feel less humid on Tuesday, and the air will feel comfortable on Wednesday and Thursday. On Friday, the humidity returns in the afternoon.

SUNNY MIDWEEK: Enjoy partly sunny skies on Tuesday and mostly sunny skies on Wednesday. Look for highs in the low 80s. We start Thursday with sunny skies. On Thursday afternoon, clouds quickly increase across the sky. We’ll get highs in the mid 80s as warmer air comes up from the south.

7-Day Forecast

SHOWERS NEXT WEEKEND: Showers will sweep over us Friday and Saturday of the upcoming. With cloudy skies and rain, we’ll have highs in the low 80s those days.
