LANCASTER, Pa - For the ninth year in a row the Lancaster Barnstormers organization held a "Salute to Veterans" game on Friday night. Since baseball season is over before Veterans' Day they used the game to honor all veterans and to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Mikki Frison and her five-year-old son Christopher were special guests.

"Ceremonies like this are really amazing that they honor what the weekend actually is all about and to keep people remembering the sacrifice of our service members, like my husband," said Mikki.

Her husband, First Lieutenant Demetrius Frison, died in Afghanistan in 2011. He left behind Mikki and their now five-year-old son Christopher. Mikki tells her son all about his dad.

"That he's brave," said Christopher when asked what he knew about his dad.

"I just want everybody to know amazing he was. He always wanted to give. He never wanted to take and he was so humble he never wanted any thanks for any of it," added Mikki.

Another special guest was Harold W. Billow. His is a WWII veteran and one of the last living survivors of the Malmedy Massacre.

"150 in that field that day. They killed 87. To this day, in my front yard I put 87 flags, up in my front yard. Takes me about 3 hours before I can get them up," he said.

He says it is what Memorial Day is all about.
