COLUMBIA, Pa. – Columbia Borough Police identify the victim in a fatal pedestrian accident over weekend as 73 year old Fay Hogentogler.

The Borough resident was struck by a pickup while crossing the intersection of Cherry Street and Lancaster Avenue at about 12:12 p.m. last Sunday.  She was transported to Lancaster General Hospital where she later died.

Borough police say their investigation, including an accident reconstruction, is ongoing.  Also, Investigators are in the process of speaking to multiple witnesses that were in the area at the time of the collision. The driver of the pickup that struck Hogentogler remained at the scene of the collision and is being cooperative with the accident investigation.  The 58 year old Columbia Borough woman is not suspected of being under the influence of any intoxicating substances at the time of the collision.
