LANCASTER, PA – A Lancaster resident, arrested today, threatened to shoot another person, and then left a loaded handgun near his 3-year-old daughter, Lancaster City Police reported.

Herbie Edmond, 36, was quickly found in his vehicle, police reported. He was charged with terroristic threats, simple assault, endangering the welfare of a child, and driving without a license, as well as committing a firearms offense.

According to police, Edmond allegedly pointed his Bersa Thunder .380 caliber handgun on Sunday, May 29 at another person, then threatened to shoot him.

When officers found Edmond in his car, they said the loaded handgun, which was within reach of his child, was in plain view. Edmond has a valid concealed carry permit, police reported.
