LANCASTER, Pa. – Lancaster County Court of Common Pleas Judge Howard Knisely ordered an 8-to-20-year prison term regarding Andrew Frantz’s conviction at a jury trial in February. The jury found that Frantz, now 33, abused a girl, beginning when she was 14, between 2003 and 2005.

Assistant District Attorney Karen Mansfield told the judge on Wednesday that Frantz has never taken responsibility for the crimes or shown sincere remorse. The crimes will impact the victim for the rest of her life, Mansfield told the judge.

In court, Frantz gave an apology and asked the judge to consider his children while ordering sentence.

Judge Knisely agreed with Mansfield, saying Frantz hasn’t taken responsibility for the crimes. The judge ordered that Frantz register his whereabouts with police, under Megan’s Law, for the rest of his life.

Following three days of testimony, the jury deliberated for about an hour before convicting Frantz of Statutory Sexual Assault, Unlawful Contact with a Minor, Corruption of Minors and two counts of Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse

The abuse happened at a home in the 300 block of North Plum Street, beginning when Frantz was 20.
